Hare hunting. From 1 to 3 April, the semifinals and finals of the Italian Championship for dog handlers on hare took place in Cuneo in the suggestive setting offered by the Alta Langa and, in particular, in the Bormida, Uzzone and Belbo Valleys. with Cac, categories "Single", "Couples" and "Lady".
The commendable hounds of the Langhe, with the Piedmontese Fidasc Committee and with the Italian Club Blue de Gascogne, have once again prepared a great edition of this Championship which has now reached its 16th edition in an incessant crescendo of authority.
The Territorial Area of Hunting CN 5, who in the person of Commissioner Giuseppe Audino attended the awards ceremony, actively collaborated in the success of the initiative by making hunting surveillance available even in the days preceding the test to prepare the areas and offered the prize for the couple Italian Champion for the “Lady Couples” category.
The Championship unfolded in three entire days with almost 100 "loose" for 19 heats and was able to count on the irreplaceable presence of the Alta Langa Union Local Police which, with various service cars, guaranteed correct traffic even in the presence of numerous competitors' machines forced to constantly move as happens in these cases.
The praise from Competitors and Race Officials eloquently testifies to the excellent organizational level and represents a tangible reward for the hospitality of the people of the Langa who have proven to be able to host any major hound event, even at an international level.
A dutiful thanks must therefore be addressed to the bodies and administrations that have collaborated with Fidasc in the organization and the splendid success of this Championship: the Province of Cuneo, the Atc CN 5, the Hounds of the Langhe and the Municipalities of the areas concerned. But also the competitors and the staff of the Race Officials deserve praise for the sportiness and the great technical preparation which they have given ample demonstration.
