In the fourth edition of the now prestigious literary competition "Writing and Hunting" the 70 short stories in competition were, according to the jurors, particularly interesting. Many young people competing, able to tell with the freshness of the youthful gaze the traditions and the deep bond with the territory and above all with their "fathers", from whom they inherited the passion and hunting culture that transpires from their writings. The team of 10 jurors, led by Romano Presenti, boasts prestigious names as always, including university professors, writers, journalists, bibliophiles. And all have expressed their own…. in having to quantify in "thirtieths" the many emotions arising from the writings.
Numerous prizes have been announced to enhance the different aspects of literary contributions: to Pino Macrì the special prize “Adelio Ponce De Leon”, to Ezio Ferroglio the “Fiera” prize for his short story “La trappola”. Moving is the story of the very young Marco Tonali, who tells of his grandfather and their latest hare together. A very young huntress tells us about hunting adventures with her father: Emanuela Perissinotto in “The third time”.
Emanuele Nencini was also awarded this year who, from the age of 88, thrilled the jurors with “The last partridges”. Among the first 10 classified we find many young and very young writers: Mattia Del Monte, Marco Tanzi and Luigi Gallo. Laura Conti is positioned in the middle of the table with a story on the value of hunting that proves that there is no age to pursue one's passions and dreams. Claudio Zanini takes the podium with a story that has as its theme the centrality of man in creation.
Ivan Bettina Piazza, still very popular after the victory of the last edition, wins the second place with “In bilico”, focused on chamois hunting. This year's first prize goes to the young Riccardo Villa who in “Il tailor” tells about the moment of shooting and the value of the gesture that crowns a hunting action that can last up to an entire year. As Maurizio Di Trani, marketing manager of Italian Exibition Group rightly stated at the beginning of the award ceremony, “HIT is the flagship event of IEG srl. It is an event where we talk about hunting and there are weapons, but where weapons are not only offensive objects, but, like a pen, they are tools at the service of a culture and knowledge ”.
The literary competition "Writing and Hunting" is and remains within HIT a moment of great value, much participated in and increasingly prestigious. We look forward to the publication of the book that will host the stories. To read and give as a gift to spread an idea of hunting that is more and more culture and love for nature.
