THEAquatic Migrant Hunters Association (ACMA) has decided to disseminate the latest provision of the Ministry of Health on the use of live calls in hunting. The circular dates back to four days ago and specifies how different requests have been made for clarification by regions, hunting associations and private citizens. The ban is linked to the dissemination ofbird flu and it was not immediately clear whether it was applicable only to high-risk areas or to all of Italy.
The circulation of the virus is still active in several national territories, the measures are considered complementary for maintain the ban on the use of live calls across the country. There was no lack of requests to the Ministry for a possible revision of the ban, taking into account the results of the coming weeks and the results that will come from the application of the restrictive measures.
The provision of the dicastery speaks of a short-term reassessment of the risk: the National Reference Laboratory for Avian Influenza will be involved, namely theZooprophylactic Institute of the Venezie, in order to reshape the various measures, including the prohibition itself. As a result, the suspension is confirmed for the time being until the next one 31 October.
