Brescia, 19 August – “I feel anger and bewilderment at the act of vandalism which devastated furnishings, equipment and covered the walls of the hunters' house in Capriolo (BS) with insults, an act by the so-called animal rights activists. Also extremely serious is having set fire to two hunting lodges, still in Franciacorta, which was put out only thanks to the lucky intervention of some passers-by; otherwise the whole of Monte Orfano could have gone up in flames, an invaluable heritage put at risk by animal/environmentalists”.
Thus Floriano Massardi Regional councilor of the League and President of the "Agriculture, mountains and forests" Commission of the Lombardy Region regarding the blitz attributable to the Animal front liberation.
“Unfortunately, this is just the latest episode in a long series of vandalism attacks that have always gone unpunished. While volunteers and hunters are scrupulously controlled, these violent people act freely destroying the work that dozens of people carry out every day in the area. These acts of pure terrorism that have been repeated for years can no longer be tolerated, the culprits must be identified and forced to pay compensation for the numerous damages".
"I want to express my total solidarity and closeness to the hunters and all the volunteers who with their work monitor and guard our territory, confident in the decisive intervention by the responsible bodies" concludes Massardi.
