Hunting and Hunters: Siena, the Radicondoli boar hunting teams come together for a charity gesture in favor of Public Assistance.
The nine wild boar hunting teams present in the municipal area of Radicondoli joined in a charity gesture aimed at the local associative fabric, delivering a sum of money collected in recent weeks to the Public Assistance of the country. The contribution will go to support the activity of the association, aimed, in particular, at the assistance of the elderly and disabled and the involvement in the emergency service 118 in the Valdelsa area thanks to the commitment of 50 volunteers, a significant number for a small Municipality located in a peripheral area and with a population of about 1.000 inhabitants. The delivery of the collected sum took place in recent days in the council room of the Municipality of Radicondoli, in the presence, among others, of the mayor of Radicondoli, Emiliano Bravi, the deputy mayor and councilor for hunting, Roberto Radi and the councilor for hunting of the Province of Siena, Anna Maria Betti, alongside the promoters of the gesture.
Representing the teams involved - for the 'B' Montesano district, for the 'C' district Le Carline, Canard-Fiorentina, Pippo-Stellino and Spinelli, and for the 'D' Campiglia district, Giubbe Rosse, Speranza d'Arca and Garganella Gracciano - attended by the president of the hunting district 'C', Fabrizio Cambi, the president of the district 'B', Silvio Boldrini and the head of the team 'Le Carline', the only local team, Vasco Carli. The contribution was withdrawn by the president of the Public Assistance of Radicondoli, Lido Tozzi, who sincerely thanked all the teams involved.
The social value of the gesture made by the wild boar hunting teams was underlined by the mayor of Radicondoli, Emiliano Bravi, who highlighted "the remarkable sensitivity and attention to the territory", and by the deputy mayor Roberto Radi who stated that "the collaboration and the constructive confrontation in recent years between hunters, ATC, Province and Municipality has led to really positive results, even going beyond the management of hunting activities in our Municipality, as this initiative demonstrates ”.
“I was very pleased that the Municipality of Radicondoli involved the Province of Siena in this initiative - added the provincial councilor for hunting, Anna Maria Betti - confirming the fruitful collaboration activated in recent years on many issues. This event saw significant pieces of local volunteering as protagonists, a very precious resource, especially in small and marginal areas, and which institutions must support and enhance. I therefore address my compliments to the Municipality of Radicondoli, which wanted to officially highlight this beautiful gesture of the hunters towards the local Public Assistance, to the presidents of the districts and to the teams, whom I thank for showing sensitivity and attachment to their territory with a initiative that I hope will become a model for other similar gestures ".
