It will be held in Trieste from 24 to 26 October next the 67th edition of theAGJSO, the working community of the hunting associations of the south-eastern Alpine area. Rich as always the program of the meeting, sponsored by Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and from municipality of Trieste. This year's theme, which also gives the title to the conference scheduled for Friday 25 October, is “The golden jackal, change in biodiversity and hunting”.
To develop it, in the rooms of the Hotel Savoia Excelsior Palace in Trieste, after the welcome of the AGJSO President Walter Brunner, will be Stefano Filacorda: The golden jackal (Canis aureus) in Italy, development of its presence and possible consequences on hunting; Hubert Potoènik: Monitoring and management of the growing population of golden jackals: singular example of the recent diffusion among mammals; Jennifer Hatlauf:: Less than you thought, more than you expected? Golden jackals in the Central European landscape; Franco Perco: The influence of the golden jackal (Canis aureus) on the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) in the Italian Karst. On the occasion of the conference, theIRCI (Regional Institute for Istrian-Rijeka-Dalmatian Culture) and the Federcaccia of Trieste they organize an exhibition on the history of hunting between the 800s and 900s in Venezia Giulia.
The exhibition, with free admission, is located in the IRCI exhibition hall in Trieste, in via Torino n. 8. The inauguration will take place on 24 October at 17,30 pm coinciding with the inauguration of the 67th AGJSO Convention and will remain open until November 3, 2019, the feast of San Uberto, patron saint of hunters. Also as part of the conference, on Friday 25 October a musical show entitled: “DIANA IN HUBERT. Legends in myths v gozdu in morju " - “DIANA AND UBERTO. Legends and myths in the woods and in the sea ". The show open to all will be dedicated to the memory of Karlo Furlan.
