Hunting: Marche, approved by the Regional Council the Hunting Calendar valid for the 2015/2016 Hunting Season; pre-opening scheduled for 2 September and season end on 10 February.
The Regional Council of the Marche has approved the 2015-2016 Hunting Calendar: the season of hunting it will begin on 2 September 2015 and will end on 10 February 2016. The executive met yesterday, 5 May 2015, convened by the president Gian Mario Spacca, with the participation of councilors Paola Giorgi, Maura Malaspina and Luigi Viventi. The hunting calendar identifies the species that can be hunted, the hunting periods and days, the game boxes, the daylight saving time of the start and end of the hunting day, the periods and methods of training for hunting dogs. It was prepared by evaluating the opinions expressed by the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (Ispra) and by the Regional Wildlife Observatory (Ofr).
Below are the main provisions. The hunting season begins on 2 September 2015 and ends on 10 February 2016.
The game species that can be hunted are the following:
a) turtle dove (Streptopelia turtur): from 2 September to 29 October;
b) blackbird: from 20 September to 31 December;
c) quail: from 12 September to 28 December;
d) teal, mallard, gargane: from 2 September to 24 January 2016;
e) jay, magpie, hooded crow, wood pigeon: from 2 September to 13 September; from 1 October to 31 January 2016; from 1 February to 10 February 2016;
f) hare, wild rabbit, partridge and pheasant: from 20 September to 6 December;
g) lark: from 1 October to 31 December;
h) fox, song thrush, cesena, redwing, coot, gadwall, wigeon, pintail, shoveler, pochard, tufted duck, lapwing, snipe, moorhen, water rail, whisk, fighter: from 20 September to 31 January 2016;
i) wild boar: on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays Province of Pesaro Urbino: from 1 November to 31 January 2016 Province of Ancona: from 1 November to 31 January 2016 Province of Macerata: from 18 October to 17 January 2016 Province of Fermo: from 18 October to 17 January 2016 Province of Ascoli Piceno: from 18 October to 17 January 2016;
l) rock partridge: from 3 October to 22 November;
m) woodcock: from 4 October to 31 December; from 2 January to 20 January 2016, with possible suspension, in this month, of the sampling in the event of the following conditions: maintenance of the average temperatures below the freezing point for more than 4 consecutive days; continuous presence of snow cover above m. 300 above sea level for more than three days; uniform presence of snow-covered ground above sea level beyond 48 hours.
The periods and days allowed for hunting are: September: Wednesday 2 - Saturday 5 - Sunday 6 - Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 - Sunday 20 Wednesday 23 - Saturday 26 - Sunday 27 - Wednesday 30; from 1 October to 31 January 2016: three days at the hunter's choice, excluding Tuesdays and Fridays; from 1st October to 30th November: hunting from stalking migratory game is allowed for another two days a week with the exclusion of Tuesdays and Fridays, with the obligation of the hunter to reach the hunting site with an unloaded weapon and in custody.
The collection of hare, pheasant, partridge, rock partridge, wild boar and wild rabbit species is only allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. On days 2 - 5 - 6 - September, it is allowed to take, without the help of the dog, the following species, in the manner and at the times indicated below: turtledove, wood pigeon, hooded crow, jay, magpie, teal, mallard , garganey (from 5.30 to 11,30 and from 17,00 to 19.30). On 12 and 13 September, it is allowed to take, without the help of the dog, the following species, in the manner and at the times indicated below: turtle dove, wood pigeon, hooded crow, jay, magpie, teal, mallard, gargane ( from 5.30 to 12,00).
On 12 and 13 September, quail hunting is allowed from 5,30 to 12,00 even with the aid of the dog exclusively in stubble, in land set aside from agricultural production, on natural and artificial lawns, on beet crops. and medicated not from seed provided that no damage is done to the crops. For these two days, the hunter who practices the hunting of the quail must wear a high-visibility piece of clothing (jacket or harness or headgear).
On days 3 - 6 - 7 - 10 February 2016 it is allowed to take the following species, without the help of the dog, in the manner and at the time indicated below with the specification that in the Special Protection Areas (SPA) and in the Sites of Community Importance (SIC) the collection is allowed only on Saturdays and Sundays: hooded crow, magpie, jay and wood pigeon from 8.00 to 17,45.
The exercise of the hunting activity is allowed by stalking with the obligation on the part of the hunter to reach the hunting site with the weapon unloaded and in custody. On these days, temporary stalking, in addition to stopping behind a natural shelter, can only be made with artificial material.
