Hunting in Sardinia. Nuorese hunters strongly ask for it. The side-by-side associations as well, and also solicit the intervention of the Region. Some representatives of the provincial wildlife committee - including one of the leading hunting and weapons experts in the Nuorese area, as well as the owner of a historic armory, such as Lallo Manca - explain that the Tar Sardinia cannot fail to rule on such a matter because three other regional administrative courts they have already done so for some time and have accepted the requests of the hunters.
The hunters' battle to extend the hunting season for woodcock, thrush and cesena starts from Barbagia but also extends to other areas of the island. In theory, based on this year's hunting calendar, the hunt for those three species of migratory birds is officially suspended from these days.
But the hunters, and in particular some associations such as the CPA, the "Caccia, pesca" chaired by Marco Pisanu, together with other hunting associations, have long been firmly asking that the hunting season for woodcock and its more close cousins is extended until the end of January.
«We want to denounce to the public opinion that the hunting world is in turmoil - begins Marco Pisanu - and we will soon have a demonstration. It is not conceivable, in fact, that these things happen only in Sardinia. Sardinian hunters pay the same taxes as their colleagues from the Peninsula, but are punctually penalized by the institutions for ideological purposes only ».
The association chaired by Pisanu and with it other hunting associations have spread their anger on paper and have already announced these days if the situation does not change, they will take to the streets "to demonstrate and claim our legitimate requests". for some time, Aresu recalls in the unitary document, the associations have asked for "the postponement of the closure of the hunt for woodcock, thrush and cesena until January 29, 2017. But despite the numerous reminders perpetrated by several countries, to date, by the 'Department has not received any official response on our request for an extension of the hunting season for woodcock, thrush and cesena ».
Pisanu also recalls that already three TARs, from the Marche, Liguria and Tuscany, with as many sentences have sanctioned the legitimacy of hunters to be able to extend the hunt for the three species of migratory birds until January 31st. And lately the Lazio Tar has also expressed itself on this line. Yet, Pisanu says, despite these sentences, no one has spoken out yet in Sardinia and Pisanu's second guilt "is of a political nature", the fault is "of the regional government".
According to the great Nuoro hunting expert and member of the provincial wildlife committee, Lallo Manca, on the other hand, the blame for this failure to extend the hunting season to the three migratory birds, is to be attributed to the regional administrative court. «If other judges - he says - have already expressed their opinion, our TAR must also be pronounced. But the real battle of the hunters, however, always remains that of the territorial areas ».
