On the opening day of the hunting season, two hunters were injured, one seriously, in two accidents hunting which took place this afternoon in the Empolese area.
The most seriously injured is a 49-year-old, whose conditions are still stable. The man around 14.30 pm, in the territory of Castelfiorentino, was hunting the pheasant when he was hit in the chest by shot from another hunter's rifle.
The man was transferred by helicopter rescue to the Florentine hospital in Careggi. At 16 pm the second accident, in Montaioncino, in the municipality of Empoli, wounded a 56-year-old man, hit in the legs by hunting shots fired by another hunter: the man was transported by ambulance to the Empoli hospital.
