Hunting and Regulations: Liguria, the changes proposed by Francesco Bruzzone to the regional law 3/2015 shed light on lead ammunition by specifying the cases in which they can be used.
On the use of lead ammunition for the hunting Liguria is teaching. The Council of Ministers has in fact decided not to challenge the amendment to regional law n.3 of 6 February 2015, proposed at the beginning of the year by the group leader of the Northern League in the Region Francesco Bruzzone. The legislation essentially clarifies the cases in which the lead to hunt, in order to avoid the continuous appeals to the TAR of animal rights associations. Basically this type of munitions it can be used for all forms of hunting, including that with ungulates, chamois, roe deer and wild boar, but not in humid areas. Below is the text of the standard:
(Amendment to article 39 of regional law no. 1 and subsequent amendments and additions).
1. After paragraph 1 of article 39 of Regional Law 29/1994 and subsequent amendments and additions, the following is added: "1 bis. In wetlands, such as habitats of aquatic and marshy species, as defined by the Ramsar International Convention, hunting is only permitted with the use of lead-free ammunition. Throughout the rest of the region, both lead-containing and lead-free ammunition is allowed for each type of hunting. ”.
