Last Monday, April 14, 2014 the Territorial Hunting Area of Benevento met the hunters of the Alto Tammaro. It was the second programmatic confrontation on the updating of the provincial wildlife plan and on the hunting management of the ATC. The meeting, which saw a large presence of hunters and representatives of hunting associations, was also attended by the mayor of Morcone, Costantino Fortunato, and the mayor of Sassinoro, Pasqualino Cusano. In addition to the president Gianluca Aceto, the vice presidents Luigi Luongo and Francesco Mignone were present for the ATC, as well as the members Michele Buonanno, Giuseppe Creta, Eduardo Masone, Luigi Lombardi, Gianpiero De Lucia, Andrea Coppola Postiglione.
The meeting was opened by the vice-president Luigi Luongo, who underlined the meaning of territorial meetings as a fundamental part of the ATC program, since they are essential to collect advice, proposals and working hypotheses. The two Mayors underlined the usefulness of comparison between hunting and accommodation needs, proposing to work on the hypotheses presented regarding the changes in the repopulation and capture areas that persist in the area.
The President Aceto has formulated some hypotheses to reconcile the different needs that emerged in the previous years and months, which will find composition in the work already started in the ATC and the Province. The president himself invited any criticisms to emerge, as long as they are made in a constructive spirit, anticipating that all the comments received will be the subject of a hearing by the Bureau: "We accept the criticisms from everyone - he said - the slanders from nobody".
The various interventions from the audience concerned the repopulation and capture areas, while only one criticism was advanced on the repopulation of hares and pheasants carried out in the previous months. The position of the sectional president of FederCaccia, Elio Polzella, was however rejected by all the other speakers, who instead appreciated the criteria and the quality of the game released on the territory.
