Hunting and Dogs: Lazio, Italian Championships Federcaccia practical hunting for pointing dogs; great satisfaction from Lazio hunters.
The level of hunting canine in Lazio is increasingly high, confirming itself among the most important regions of Italy in terms of dog culture and preparation of the subjects presented for testing. On Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August, in Collacchioni in Pieve Santo Stefano (Ar), the finals of the Italian championships took place. hunting Fidc practice for pointing dogs, both for teams and individuals and, at the same time, the last act of the 2015 edition of the Italian Huntress was also staged, a dog event dedicated to the hunting world for women that more and more, year after year, acquires competitiveness and prestige.
In the English category, Lazio obtained an excellent third place for teams, placing themselves with honor behind the unrivaled Calabria and Campania, the region that won the Italian title. The Lazio team, made up of English setters Nero, Bart, Ilio and Simon, led respectively by Lello Buco, Antonio Palazzo, Anna Violo and Salvatore Longo, made themselves respected by realizing enviable performances on Collacchioni's partridges, of absolute quality and present in abundance. Among the continentals, it is worth mentioning the Very Good Fourth obtained by the Epagneul Breton Boss led by Lello Buco, who thus honored the Italian individual title won in 2014.
But it is from the "pink" category that the greatest satisfactions for the dog lovers of our region have come: Anna Violo, in fact, won the individual title with the Nero setter, who at the same time acquired the titles to be proclaimed absolute Italian Fidc champion. And that's not all: to that of Nero, in fact, was added the performance of another English setter, Ibra, led by the very young Alessia Buco, daughter of Lello and Anna Violo. The good Alessia, together with her mother, was thus able to give Lazio also team success, in front of the very strong Lombardy.
"I want to express - these are the words of the regional president of Federcaccia Lazio Aldo Pompetti - all my appreciation, in my name and the association I preside over, towards all the athletes who have represented us so worthily, once again this year, in this as in the other prestigious Federcaccia national championships. A special thanks, however, I would like to address to the Buco family, which for years has been engaged with infinite passion in the various dog competitions. To the already established Lello and Anna, from today is added the young Alessia: with the hope that the future is hers and that of many other guys like her ".
