Hunting and Fauna: farmers sound wild boar alarms in the Park of Monte di Portofino, in the province of Genoa, off to the hunting of selection by gamekeepers and authorized assistants.
A few weeks ago the farmers of Rapallo had raised the alarm for the excessive presence of ungulates, in particular wild boars, in the territory of the Park of the Monte di Portofino on the slopes overlooking the sea; farmers said they were exasperated by the devastated vegetable gardens, collapsed dry stone walls and cleared paths. The management body then runs for cover and prepares to start the selection hunt to contain the number of wild boars in the territories; the selective collection will be operated by gamekeepers flanked by newly trained assistants who will carry out special stops for killing and capture operations with traps.
