Hunting and Fauna: Emilia Romagna, with a joint press release, the farmers gathered in Confagricoltura and Cia of Emilia Romagna ask for ungulate hunting to be allowed even on land covered with snow.
The two regional agricultural associations, Confagricoltura and Cia of Emilia Romagna, bring home a first important result. From August 20, the changes made by the law decree no.24 of June 2014, 91 to the national law 157/92 became effective. In summary: it will be possible to hunt on snow-covered soils, in whole or in part, no longer only in the faunal area of the Alps but finally also for the implementation of the selection hunt for ungulates according to the provisions issued by the regions concerned. “A provision that we have long invoked and reached thanks to the work of local and national institutions - the two agricultural organizations say. - However, the timely modification of the regional law is necessary to allow, even in Emilia Romagna, the selection hunting for ungulates on snow-covered ground ".
The two associations have recently sent a letter to the regional councilor for agriculture, Tiberio Rabboni in which they underline that “a timely amendment of art. 60 letter c) of the regional law no. 15 'Provisions for the protection of wild fauna and for the exercise of hunting' so as to allow the exercise of hunting in the areas covered in most of the snow and make the provision of a national nature immediately operational in the regional territory ".
"Although we are aware of the difficulties deriving from the approaching end of the legislature - the two regional agricultural organizations conclude in the letter - we trust in a timely intervention by the Region so that the process that allows the modification of the aforementioned legislation is promptly initiated".
