The President of ATC ROVETO-CARSEOLANO Dr. Carlo Piccirilli announces that on 22/07/2014 the Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Scurcola Marsicana, prevented the Provincial Police and the group from select-controllers present on site to carry out the selective killing of the species boar scheduled in the late afternoon of 22/07/2014 in the territory of Scurcola Marsicana. This killing was carried out in execution of the Wild Boar Control Plan arranged by Decree of the President of the Province of L'Aquila n. 25/2014 and authorized by ISPRA and the Region.
"A serious act on which we have given a mandate to our lawyers to verify if the conditions for a legal action against the Deputy Mayor exist who, without apparent and valid justifications, interrupted a public service" thunders Stefano Fabrizi Provincial Director of Confagricoltura L 'Eagle. "We hope - continued Fabrizi - that the farmers of Scurcola, who suffer daily damage from wild boars, will appreciate the collaboration of their zealous deputy mayor towards the provincial guards and self-controllers".
In the meantime, the correct interpretation has been given to a circular from the Agriculture Directorate on the attribution of slaughtered wild boars thanks to the availability of the director De Rubeis of the ASL and the commander of the provincial police Del Boccio who have agreed on the modus operanti so that the activities can quickly continue. . The invaluable intervention of the selecontrollers and the provincial guards is having some results, however extensive damage has been reported in the area adjacent to the Raiano reserve where the cereal and corn crops are literally devastated.
