Hunting and Migration: ANUU Migrationists on the migratory pass of the last week in Italy practically non-existent, “A nil pass”.
We need imagination to explain the step of the last week which runs from 11 to 17 November. In fact, we can consider it quite negative and one of the worst of this period. Despite the two beautiful days that occurred with a beautiful clear sky at the beginning of last week, a depression evolution, absolutely unpredictable with more or less intense rains, dampened our enthusiasm and those of our winged friends. The so-called Winters, namely Tordo sassello, Cesena, Siskin and Peppola, have once again abandoned us. On Saturday 16 November there was then a sudden return of good weather with blue skies, but already on Sunday morning the threatening clouds made their reappearance creating a situation not favorable to migration. While the presence of the Song Thrush in Greece and along the Atlantic coasts in Portugal is positive, it seems to understand how the negative weather conditions of these periods have determined the deviation from the main migratory routes, also recording the presence of this turdid in excellent numbers also in Spain in the Valencia region.
The best presence of thrush in recent years has been recorded in this area. Now, however, Italian enthusiasts are hoping for a lowering of temperatures in the north and north-east of Europe and in the appearance of the Cesene. Only the evolution of the late autumn season will be able to confirm this.
