Hunting and Migration: ANUU Migratoristi provides weekly information on the migration pass in Italy, “The wintering period begins”.
Even the magical date of 8 December, in full moon phase of the first quarter, passed without the passage of the Cesene. From northern Europe news reaches the FEIN Ornithological Observatory of Arosio, which coordinates these weekly news on the pass, that large contingents of Cesene are still present in their territories rich in food and with temperatures above the seasonal norm. In this period the species, accompanied by Peppole and Siskin, should be present in large numbers, but the year that is about to end at the ornithological level has not given any particular emotion, and will be considered as one of the years to be forgotten on the migratory front. Also at the Arosio Ornithological Observatory the first week of December, characterized by sunny but cold days, resulted in the capture of only two Cesene on Monday 5 and a song thrush still "wandering" and in perfect health on day 7.
There is no particular news from other Italian regions except for the arrival of other species from the north that regularly winter in our shores. A meager consolation that leads us to hope for a return of the great turdids at the beginning of next year during their erratic movements in search of food.
