Hunting and Migration Pass: ANUU Migratoristi provides information on the migration pass in Italy according to the observations of FEIN; the first Black Nurses arrived.
The first Black Balia (Ficedula hypoleuca) of the 2014 post-nuptial ringing activity was captured on Friday 8 August 2014, at the FEIN Ornithological Observatory of the European Il Nibbio Foundation. The collection of data is really important and interesting notes can be drawn from it, as well as from the meteorological conditions, which at the Observatory have been recorded continuously and constantly and in a standardized way for 37 years.
Magnificent and satisfying is the news of the arrival of this tiny skipjack among the fresh branches of the Arosio Observatory, expertly cared for every year. The first subject, captured at 6.00 am was a specimen of Black Balia (INFS 13 ° 2541), born in the year; last year there were 865 nurses ringed in the 2nd semester, for a total of 875 ringed in all of 2013.
To close these notes, it is recalled that during the morning a Torticollis, a Luì grosso, two Codirossi and a Merlo. It should be remembered that since the beginning of the activity, trans-Saharan species such as Canapino maggiore, Cannaiola and Luì grosso have already been ringed, and the unusual capture of a Swallow that ran into the structure's nets on 6 August in the early hours of dawn should also be noted.
