Hunting and Territory: Sondrio, the SI arrives from Coldiretti for wild boar hunting aimed at countering its excessive proliferation with serious consequences on agriculture.
Coldiretti of the Lower Valley really liked the proposal of the president of the Alpine District of Hunting from the Lower Valley, Enrico Marchesini, to open the wild boar hunt; in these territories the problem linked to the excessive presence of boars it is strongly felt especially after the wild ones have permanently invaded the area of Ardenno and Buglio in Monte, causing many problems also in the areas of Delebio and, more recently, of Piantedo. Ettore Del Nero for the Coldiretti of the Lower Valley said about the proposal, "For some time we have been asking that the problem be solved, the proliferation of wild boars is expanding dramatically until it reaches the territorial extremes of the Lower Valley, now only the colonization of the side valleys and valleys is missing. So talking about open hunting for these ungulates could be useful ".
Continuing Del Nero has collected reports and complaints from farmers who over the years have suffered the raids of wild boars on their land, "The passage of wild boars is certainly not slight, given that the land is evidently plowed and the crops damaged whenever these wild they cross them. So - he concludes, hoping - a comparison with the Alpine Hunting Districts, but also with the environmental associations, would be fundamental to evaluate the possibility of opening specialized hunting ”.
