Hunting: Bergamo, no suspension the hunt continues; the TAR of Brescia has decided to reject the request for suspension of the hunting activity requested by the WWF following the appeal filed against the recent Provincial Wildlife Hunting Plan.
The administrative court saves the hunt. In fact, the judge rejected the suspension requested by the WWF on the wildlife hunting plan approved in the summer by the Province of Bergamo. The discussion was very long, but the Brescia TAR chose the least traumatic way for the hunters: no suspension and examination of the appeals in the next hearings. In July, on the day of approval, the President of the Province Ettore Pirovano had announced the cancellation of the plan, only to take sides, a few weeks ago, in defense of the document after the heavy declaration of Paola Brambilla, regional president of the WWF, which defined cavemen the provincial councilors. The number one of the environmental association had in fact caused an uproar because of this declaration: "From 2000 to today, the WWF simply asks to apply laws and sentences, while justice is trampled on by four or five cavemen who have engaged four sessions of the provincial council to defend the interests of ten thousand hunters. I say cavemen in a technical sense, because they stayed with the idea of survival hunting from the Stone Age, but perhaps cavemen were more circumspect because they knew they didn't have to exaggerate and did not violate the laws of nature. The council should instead use resources and time to deal with work, education, social problems ”.
Now the hunters can breathe a sigh of relief and also the provincial councilors who supported their cause, above all Matteo Malighetti, Vittorio Milesi and Matteo Oriani.
