Hunt in Bolzano. The new rules of the Statute elaborated by the Commission of 12, one that regulates thehunting activity in the natural parks and one that provides for the variation of huntable species, were approved last November 24 by the Government with a legislative decree and are published today (January 10) in the Official Bulletin of the Region.
They come into force on Friday the 13th standards they allow a more autonomous management of hunting activities towards a sustainable balance between wildlife and habitat.
The first rule specifies the planning, regulation and control functions of the Province on the forms of hunting practicable in South Tyrol and delegates to the provincial law the discipline of the modalities that allow hunting activities within the natural parks established by the Province. It will therefore be the provincial disciplinary competence to exercise the hunting in natural parks provincial.
The second implementation rule clarifies the huntable species and provincial powers. The law provides that, in the face of specific situations, the President of the Province may order changes to the list of huntable species provided for by national legislation, without prejudice to the principle of evaluating the consistency of the species in relation to the territory, so as to guarantee the protection of environmental interests.
These changes are arranged in agreement with the Ministry of the Environment and the protection of the territory, with the opinion of Ispra, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research.
