The Regional Coordination of Boar Hunting Teams expresses its dissent on the 2012-2013 Hunting Calendar of Umbria, in particular on the letter H, which determines the daily option of hunting boar driven.
Subject: 2012-2013 Hunting Calendar.
Regarding the vicissitudes of the hunting calendar on the letter H, which determines the daily option of hunting wild boar on the beat, (choice of hunting by species), the wild boar coordination wants to shed light on the reality of the facts.
For some time we have been asking for the modification of the Regional Boar Hunting Regulations in order to have everyone, hunters who carry out the hunt and individual hunters, the same rights - duties regarding safety, management of the territory and of the species, the obligation of veterinary control. of culled animals and the removal of the species on the same days for all, also urging the full application of the current regulation.
The answers never arrived, but alternatively, it has been two years since the Regional Department in charge has invented some innovations tending to penalize those who practice wild boar hunting as a team, previously with the opening on the third Sunday of September (not foreseen by any norm), this year with "the invention of the letter H", not traceable in any national or regional law.
On several occasions we have urged Councilor Cecchini to delete the letter H from the calendar, because it is vexatious against a part of hunters, or alternatively to "suspend" it pending the revision of the Regional Regulations which, in order not to be messed with, clearly not it may have very short times.
Therefore, any partial intervention on the regulation that attempts to justify the maintenance of the letter H on the calendar appears inappropriate, because our goal is not to involve others in the penalization in question, but is to enforce all forms of hunting with equal dignity. and in particular the respect "BY THE REGION" of the rules that currently govern the hunting activity.
We reiterate that the letter H is unjust, discriminating, vexatious and illegal, but we will not lend our side to "those" who want to put us against everything and everyone. We therefore withdraw from any new changes to the hunting calendar other than the suspension or cancellation of the letter H.
As hunters who also hunt wild boar we don't want any kind of sops. We don't like the old saying "MAL COMMON MEZZO GAUDIO". We are therefore opposed to any modification that penalizes and discriminates against others, having at heart, unlike some, the unity of the hunting world, the only means to stem the many attacks that come from various directions.
It is with great regret that, in front of the wall erected by the Regional Department of Wildlife Planning, the hunters enrolled in the teams must assert their rights before the TAR, but it seems that this is now the obligatory path.
We do not want the other hunters, but we are convinced that this battle can also serve to protect other forms of hunting, which in the next few years could be in the sights of those who today want to hit so hard those who hunt wild boar on the beaten track.
