On 1 September 2012, with the authorization of the Tuscany Region, in the province of Siena it will be possible to hunt turtledove (Streptopelia turtur), wood pigeon, blackbird, magpie, jay, hooded crow and starling. The times will be defined in the specific regional authorization deed.
The Province of Siena has also requested the application of the derogation for the hunting of the starling to limit the damage to agricultural crops caused by this species. The Region will indicate the times, times, methods and municipalities in which the hunt will be authorized.
The training and training of dogs is allowed from 19 August to 13 September 2012, according to the times, days and areas already provided for by the regional law. Please note that the training and training of dogs is allowed only to hunters enrolled in the ATC.

From 2 to 31 January 2013, hunting is allowed throughout the provincial territory exclusively from a fixed or temporary position, which must be accessed with the unloaded, disassembled or custody shotgun. In the same period, wandering hunting with the use of the dog (only standing and hunting) is allowed, only to woodcock, within the wooded areas, falling within the area suitable for wild boar with the exclusion of the falling areas within the SPAs.
Hunting for hare is allowed from 16 September until 9 December 2012 and can also be done in the form of a hunt with a maximum of 4 participants. Pheasant hunting is allowed from 16 September to 31 December 2012, thus maintaining for both species those corrective measures introduced for years with a view to sustainable hunting.
From 2 to 31 January 2013, fox hunting in the traditional batting form is allowed throughout the provincial territory, with a minimum of eight participants, subject to communication to the Province of the constitution of the team and the designation of the manager and in compliance with the indications. issued by the Atc.
During the periods in which hunting from stalking is allowed, for the purpose of retrieving the game, the use of the dog that has particular aptitudes to retrieve is allowed, under the direct control of the owner or handler, within a radius of 150 meters from the stalking itself, but with the obligation to always remain at a distance of not less than 50 meters from other stalking from which the hunting activity is carried out at the same time. Red partridge and partridge hunting is prohibited throughout the provincial territory with the exception of the hunting farms.
As for the selection hunt, which involves fallow deer, roe deer, mouflons and red deer, there are several novelties in the programming. The young roe deer can be hunted from 1st August to 30th September. The hunting of young and adult males of roe deer is allowed from 15 August to 30 September and from 2 February to 14 March. For young and adult females, hunting is allowed from January 2nd to March 14th. As for the fallow deer, hunting is open from 1st August to 15th September and from 2nd February to 14th March for males and young; from January 2nd to March 14th for young and adult females.
Mouflon hunting is open from November 1st to February 28th. Deer hunting is open from 11 August to 15 September and from 15 October to 16 February for the adult male, from 1 to 15 September and from 15 October to 14 March for the sub-adult male, from 15 October to 14 March for the male fusone and from December 1st to March 14th for all females and young.
The selection hunt for roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon and red deer is allowed in the management districts, in the ZRVs and in private wildlife institutes, according to the specific sampling plans approved by the Province, for five days a week from one hour before the start of the sun up to one hour after sunset.
