Coldiretti Marche, in view of the arrival in the 2018nd Regional Commission of the proposed law on hunting, comments on the recent ruling of the Marche Regional Administrative Court regarding the 2023-XNUMX Wild Boar Control Plan. Although the Plan was deemed valid, hunting with at least two dogs was excluded as a selection technique, limiting teams to just one dog. Coldiretti claims that administrative justice requires greater attention to the new Control Plan and the proposed law, underlining the importance of a reform of the ATC.
The agricultural organization proposes an annual control and accountability of the teams to achieve the abatement objectives and restore environmental balance. Coldiretti Marche has been calling for a single regulation for the Territorial Hunting Areas for some time, criticizing the past management highlighted by the commissionerships of the ATC Ancona 2 and, previously, of the ATC Pesaro 1.
Coldiretti underlines the agricultural damage caused by the excess number of ungulates, attributing 75% of the damage to agriculture to wild boars. This damage has led to the abandonment of crucial and profitable crops, such as protein pea, polenta maize and sunflower. The organization also highlights the danger of the presence of wild boars on the roads, citing 11 serious accidents in the Marche according to the Asaps Observatory.
