In fact, in recent months some large fires have occurred in the area of the district of the Municipality of Sora (FR) and one of these has heavily damaged an area and also laps a large slice of the “Monti Ernici” Hunting Wildlife Company.
For this reason, the Managing Director for Hunting and Fishing Policies, Antonio Farina, makes it known that the Municipality considered it appropriate to adopt some measures to safeguard the ecosystem of the areas affected by the fire, including the reduction of a few hundred hectares in the size of the company district Ernici Mountains.
Counselor Farina explains, “The fires that hit the side of our mountain have caused enormous damage to the flora and fauna. For this reason, on the occasion of the reopening of the hunting season, we have decided to reduce the Hunting Wildlife Company by 500 hectares, equal to approximately 1/3 of the original area ".
Farina continues, "It was an obligatory measure as the law required us to close a portion of at least 200 hectares for ten years. We have decided to extend the reduction of the area by another 300 hectares to protect and safeguard the ecosystem of the area in the best possible way ".
The reduction of the territory of the Azienda Faunistico Venatoria has led to some consequences on the exercise of hunting in the area: in particular, the number of members of the teams has been reduced wild boar hunting that from the previous 54 elements has passed to 33 elements.
La reduction of hunting teams, as required by law, is a consequence directly proportional to the reduction in the size of the Wildlife Hunting Company.
