On Saturday 10th September, at the Teatro Roma in Castagneto Carducci (LI), starting at 9 am, the VII congress of the Arci Caccia Toscana entitled “Sentiment and reason to grasp the future” will be held.
Over 100 delegates from all over the region will discuss the future of hunting, the role of the hunter in modern society and will elect the new governing bodies. During the initiative, authoritative representatives of the institutions (Region and provinces), of the trade associations, of the ATC as well as numerous national and local parliamentarians will also intervene.
“The Arci Caccia Toscana is a deeply rooted association - declares the outgoing president Massimo Logi who will open the proceedings of the event, after the greeting of the mayor of Castagneto Carducci, Fabio Tinti -. In fact, there are over 19 members, 10 provincial Federations and about 650 local clubs ”. “The congress - he continues - will not only be an opportunity to strengthen and renew the management groups by promoting a streamlined, modern and functional organizational model; will also represent a fruitful and stimulating debate and an open moment of discussion with the representatives of institutions, associations and civil society to define the guidelines of a responsible hunting activity, capable of rediscovering its own deep social and cultural roots and regain respect and attention towards public opinion. Hunting in fact means careful management of the territory, safeguarding the balance of fauna and safeguarding the environmental heritage ”.
“Results - he concludes - that are possible only by openly confronting each other, avoiding populist and demagogic drifts and proposals and seeking, on the contents and objectives, the unity of the hunting world. To rewrite together the hunt for the future in harmony with the community ”. The works will be closed in the late afternoon by Marco Ciarafoni, president of the Arcicaccia National Council.
