In addition to having caused difficulties and tragedies for families and the economy, the health emergency linked to the Covid-19 pandemic has also blocked the correct management of the wildlife heritage and, with it, hunting. For these reasons, in view of the upcoming closing of the season, Federcaccia Lazio asks the Umbria Region to allow the hunters of our region, for the remaining hunting days, to be able to practice hunting not only within their own municipality, but in the territory falling within the boundaries of the Hunting Territorial Area of hunting residence.
This is a measure already taken by neighboring regions such as Tuscany, Umbria and Abruzzo: an act that recognizes the right to the amount paid by hunters before the season, restoring their full social, economic and wildlife function in the interest of all civil society.
Already reassured by the offices of the competent regional councilor, Federcaccia Lazio renews its full availability to collaborate with the institutions, confidently waiting for the political will to be translated into a formal act with immediate effect, which gives full legitimacy to the carrying out of a activities of rebalancing and control of the fauna heritage which - we remember - is perfectly legal, rightly controlled but also of indisputable social utility.
