The new Regional Hunting Calendar has been approved by the Emilia-Romagna Regional Council which should replace the previous one with the same three-year duration.
The Regional Council of Emilia-Romagna today approved, on the proposal of the regional councilor for agriculture Tiberio Rabboni, the new regional hunting calendar, which, like the previous one, will have a three-year duration and which will now have to be examined by the Legislative Assembly. for final approval.
“It is a proposal - underlined Rabboni - developed at the end of an extensive discussion, which obtained the sharing of the regional hunting and agricultural associations and which takes into account some indications from Ispra as well as the European and national guidelines”.
The text largely re-proposes the previous hunting calendar, which had received an overall positive opinion, but with some new elements as regards the sampling periods and the game bags.
Among the most significant innovations, there are also some conservation measures for natural and artificial wetlands, where it will be forbidden to use lead shotguns. The hunting schedules are therefore confirmed, along with the measures to safeguard the agricultural-forest environment, with the expansion, however, to new types of crops.
General opening is also confirmed on the third Sunday of September, with opening dates postponed to October XNUMXst for some species. As regards the hunting of ungulates, the articulation already in force with regard to the hunting periods is maintained, as well as the selective withdrawals in application of the indications of the ISPRA.
The return of the card was confirmed by 31 March to allow the rapid acquisition of data on withdrawals. With the card, hunters must also deliver the summary card relating to hunting in derogation.
