Caccia Pesca Ambiente, good participation in the shareholders' meeting of Castelfiorentino (FI) held last February 27 to talk about the various issues related to hunting.
On 27 February 2015, the usual annual assembly of CPA members was held in Castelfiorentino (FI), many issues that were addressed on that occasion: from the decree of Minister Galletti concerning the early closure of the song thrush and cesena, to the new reorganization of the ATCs in Tuscany to end the legislative decree concerning the possession of weapons. The meeting, chaired by the regional president of the Maurizio Montagnani association, went on until late in the evening and many hunters asked for clarification on the issues mentioned above. Without any doubt Montagnani clarified the association's thinking and guidelines to everyone: no agreement and no negotiating table with those who are still asking for the closure of the hunt or at least the restriction of hunting calendars. The fact that some hunting associations (Federcaccia / Arcicaccia / Anuu migratory) have made an agreement with those (Legambiente) who, in the light of Minister Galletti's decree, ask for the early closure of hunting for some species of migratory derogation from small passerines and the stop to live calls, makes us understand how different our worlds are. NEVER WITH THEM, this is my thought. How is it possible that our French cousins and Spanish colleagues can hunt some species until February 20/28 and we in Italy close the hunt for them on January 19? Are we not Europeans like them?
The other very important point addressed on the occasion is the new management and reorganization of the atc in Tuscany. If we agree to the reduction of the territorial hunting areas, we certainly cannot agree with the increase in the registration fee of the same, in fact the latter would go from 51,65 to 100 euros; not least in the lrT 88 of 30 December 2014 we speak of "sub-areas", due to the environmental, naturalistic and faunal peculiarities inherent in the individual territorial contexts. This change in regional law, as mentioned above, will lead to the payment of a higher tax, compared to previous years for registration in the atc and this we at the CPA do not like, we have always been against any tax increase against hunters. .
This does not and would not make sense for us at the CPA, Montagnani adds: “these atc, 20 since their establishment and introduction in our region, have not brought any kind of advantage to Tuscan hunters; they closed us in "cages" and in my view, in the management of small sedentary game there has been a drastic decrease in these populations, in particular as regards the pheasant species. The last point of debate was the one concerning the question of the wolf; in recent years it has caused very considerable damage to the flocks of Tuscan breeders.
The newspaper "La Nazione" of 18 January 2015 in the chronicle of Siena, reports an agreement signed by the following acronyms: Unions of the Provinces, Anci, ASL 7 of Siena Asl 8 of Arezzo that of Grosseto, Coldiretti, Confagricoltura, Cia, WWF Tuscany, Legambiente Toscana, Italianostra Amici della terra and Lav, for the protection of this species. In the same newspaper on 1 March 2015 on page 12 in the article by Maurizio La Ferla, in the paragraph "IN DEFENSE of wolves, the same speaks of a certain" Italian Association for Defense of Animals & Environment ", which asked the parliament European to review the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and parents not to tell it again.
We at the CPA are disconcerted by all this, but above all by a situation that is now getting out of hand; unfortunately there are too many people who do not know the problem; above all it is easy to speak from behind a desk and not from a work situation like that of many pastors. Montagnani, as already written in the CPA November / December newspaper, asks all competent and institutional bodies and associations to sit down at a table to find the solution to this problem. At the end of the evening we have identified some points of hunting and environmental interest that in the next few days we will present to the competent bodies, including the reintroduction of the starling among the huntable species, the decriminalization of minor offenses, traditional hunts (small passerines), greater control of antagonistic species (foxes / corvids, etc.).
