Hunting: Genoa, yet another stop to hunting in Liguria, this time, however, the hunt for Roe deer in the Province of Genoa has been hit following yet another anti-hunt appeal.
This time it is the roe deer hunt that undergoes yet another stop of this hunting season in Liguria, more precisely in the province of Genoa, as a result of a suspension issued yesterday, December 18, by the Council of State which thus accepted the precautionary appeal advanced by the Verdi Environment and Society Association against the order of the TAR Liguria (Section II, 2013, n. 357) which had rejected the application for suspension of the roe deer harvesting plan for the year 2013/2014, on the assumption the constitutional illegitimacy of the regional law extending the Wildlife Hunting Plan. “Has the Council of State thus suspended the roe deer harvesting activity envisaged by the encumbered Plan from January 1st to March 15th 2014? - reads a note from the association, which continues: "The applicant non-profit organization and Mr. Angelo Spanò express great satisfaction for having once again contributed to the affirmation of constitutional and unavailable values in environmental matters, with specific regard to the right to a healthy environment, also guaranteed by the balanced development of the natural habitat, the naturalistic values, the biodiversity and the fauna system, which cannot be compromised by an incorrect exercise of the hunting activity, such as that approved by the Province of Genoa with the contested acts and suspended by the Council of State ".
