Hunting to the Migration. To respond to the "invitation" addressed by the Ministry of the Environment to the Regions to bring forward the closure of the hunt for Woodcock, Tordo Bottaccio and Cesena, the national hunting associations Federcaccia, Arci Caccia, Enalcaccia, ANUUMigratoristi and EPS have sent a letter to all the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano inviting them in a detailed way to reject the government proposal, which according to the ministry should "favor" the closure positive of the EU PILOT 6955/14 / ENVI procedure initiated by the European Commission against Italy.
Federcaccia, Arci Caccia and ANUUMigratoristi della Toscana (Associations making up the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters) also moved in a similar way.
The text of the two letters is attached:

European Law 2015 (proposed amendment of Article 18 of Law No. 11 of 1992 February 157)
We have received news that the Government intends to provide, among other things, in the 2015 European Law proposal, an amendment to art. 18 Law 11 February 1992 n. 157 establishing the anticipation to January 20 of the closure of hunting for migratory species woodcock, song thrush and cesena. And this to "favor" the positive closure of the EU PILOT 6955/14 / ENVI procedure launched by the European Commission against Italy.
For this purpose, Minister Galletti proposes (but it would be better to say imposes) to the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces the text of an agreement, to be signed on the occasion of the State - Regions Conference scheduled for November 5, with which to obtain the consent and the commitment of local authorities to include this early closure of hunting in their current hunting calendars pending the conclusion of parliamentary work regarding the approval of the European Law 2015.
In order for the Regions and Autonomous Provinces to take the most appropriate decisions in this regard, it seems appropriate to announce that the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters as well as the Federcaccia and ANUU Associations of Liguria have proposed two similar legal actions before the Court of the European Union (T-562 / 15 and T-570/15) with which they requested that the European Commission be ordered to update the Key Concepts, identifying in the second ten days of February the beginning of the prenuptial migration of these three species also in Italy and consequently that it be ascertained the illegality of the aforementioned EU PILOT 6955/14 / ENVI procedure, due to unequal treatment between Member States and / or Regions of Member States as well as due to lack of valid conditions.
