We find ourselves once again underlining how the hunting world is not taken into consideration by the institutions. Following the meeting held last June 14 at the Regional Citadel between the President Vincenzo Barbatano and the Vice President Massimo Belsito, representing theCalabrian Rural Association, and the Councilor Dr. Gallo, some solutions had been registered to the problems that sadly our Region has been dragging on for some time, such as the wild boar emergency, the fire emergency, the many areas closed to hunting and overpopulation of pests. Specifically, we want to highlight the umpteenth delay in the publication of the hunting calendar, which has now become a sad habit of the Calabria Region.
Considering that even the simple training and training of pointing dogs is regulated by the hunting calendar; because if I take a walk in the country with mine pointing dog risk of incurring a penalty while taking the same walk with any breed other than a hunting dog I do not have any problem, this makes us understand how important it is to respect the deadline indicated for the publication which is set at 15nd June. It is not correct to remember those who practice Ars Venandi only when their help is needed.
A striking example is theBOARS EMERGENCY in which a decisive intervention is requested to contain this ever-expanding species, through selection hunting and even proposing a modification to the Law 157 / 92 to extend the hunting period only for this species, ignoring all other forms of hunting. I ask now, why the Hunter is involved solely and exclusively to help solve the problems that afflict our region without being respected and above all PROTECTED by the institutions responsible for doing so and asking for our help?
Recall that the SOCCER PLAYER, in order to exercise his passion, in addition to paying the many taxes annually at national, regional and provincial level, produces a business that is equivalent to about 1% of the Italian GDP and, more importantly, must have a CLEAN criminal record. Finally, we ask for greater respect, among other things widely deserved, towards our category, too mistreated mainly by those who should instead protect us (Calabrian Rural Association).
