The news that leaks out
Barring unforeseen circumstances, the next hunting calendar ofEmilia Romagna it should bring back the scientific structure of the previous edition. “We believe we need to start from there, from the 2023/2024 version”, was said on Wednesday afternoon in the economic policies commission by regional councilor Alessio Mammi. Among the innovations that emerge from the drafting of the new provision, include the introduction of data collection using IT methods, the maintenance of 2 additional days for stalking and migratory hunting, the training of dogs from 18 August until the third Sunday in September and the extension of the woodcock hunt until January 31st.
The thoughts of the Hon. Blowjobs
The regional councilor of the League, Massimiliano Pompignoli, says he is satisfied with this approach: “The words of councilor Mammi represent an excellent signal and a good starting point for our hunters. It was important for the Region to maintain its position against the crazy ideologies of some environmentalist associations. We therefore await the transmission of the draft text which should take place shortly."
The LAC appeals
If on the one hand councilor Pompignoli spends conciliatory words towards councilor Mammi, on the other he does not spare a harsh attack towards the Lac (Abolition League for Hunting) and the Regional Administrative Court: "We have been in to fight the factional appeals of the Lac and the suspensions of the TAR, which never entered into the merits. In the future, thanks to the Asset Decree and the League's amendments, important changes to the national legislation on hunting are expected. In particular, a change in timing is expected for the discussion of appeals. The TAR will have the obligation to schedule the hearing to discuss the merits within thirty days, thus making it more difficult to challenge the calendars before the regional courts".
Legitimacy profiles
“Our hope – concludes Pompignoli – is that we will not encounter appeals and early closures again. Let us not forget that in other Regions, in fact, the TAR found the appellants wrong and confirmed the validity of the hunting calendars, rejecting any alleged illegitimacy. In Emilia Romagna, we always find ourselves faced with non-victories and the most absolute uncertainty given by the push and pull of courts and wicked animal rights associations".
