Yesterday's meeting
Yesterday, a meeting of the Regional Technical Faunistic Hunting Committee was held in Bari. Arch Hunting was present, represented by the Regional President, and the representatives of ANUU, CPA, Enalcaccia, EPS, Italcaccia and Libera Caccia were also present. The Councilor illustrated the draft resolution which will be discussed in the next few days in the Council.
The proposed changes
In summary, these are the proposals for changes to the hunting calendar in force:
-Song Thrush, Redwing and Woodcock as of 31/1/2024;
-Cesena at 20/1/2024;
- Thrush game bags (from 11 to 31/1/2024 15 animals per day with a maximum of 5 animals, always daily, for redwing and fieldfare);
- Woodcock game bag of a maximum of 6 animals for the entire month of January 2024.
Draft resolution
The Wildlife Technical Committee voted in favor of the proposed draft resolution. Therefore, the Councilor has undertaken to submit the resolution for examination by the next Council for subsequent approval. Subsequently, the associations spoke with the Councilor touching on various topics (wildlife hunting plan, new ATCs, wild boar issue, avian ordinance, surveillance, parrot emergency). We have requested greater presence and collaboration from the regional offices, complaining of a lack of response to the various requests that have been made in recent months and which have had no outcome.
The next updates
And, furthermore, to know the progress of the mandate given to the University of Bari on the preparatory works for the new Hunting Faunal Plan, given that, from the date of the grant, dating back several months ago, to today, there is no concrete news on the drafting of the requested documents. The councilor therefore committed to taking stock of the situation of each topic and request, hoping for collaboration and consultation on future initiatives to be undertaken. We will keep you updated on the outcomes of the Council's resolution regarding the changes to the hunting calendar (The Regional President of Arci Caccia Puglia – CTFVR Puglia Member Giuseppe De Bartolomeo).
