HUNTING IN SARDINIA: the Region approves the calendar for the new season.
The new regulation increases the spaces and the hunting species. Satisfied the president of Federcaccia di Cagliari, Ignazio Artizzu, disappointed the Sardinian environmental world.
It is open confrontation on the Hunting Calendar approved today by the Regional Fauna Committee chaired by the Councilor for the Environment, Emilio Simeone. Disappointment in the Sardinian environmental world, with the WWF which announced an appeal to the TAR, while the regional councilor of the PDL, Ignazio Artizzu, president of the Federcaccia of Cagliari, commented satisfied: "We are restoring dignity and rights to Sardinian hunters".
THE PROTEST OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSOCIATIONS. According to environmental associations, the resolution is "clearly illegitimate", since, by accepting the requests of the provincial administrations and the hunting world, it restores the lark hunting, increases the number of slaughtered animals by boar, reintroduces the preview to the turtledove on 3 and 6 September, not taking into account the ministerial decree which sets specific hunting prohibitions for certain species. The exponent of the PDL is quite different.
SATISFIED THE PRESIDENT OF FEDERCACCIA ”CAGLIARI. The Calendar - says Artizzu - increases hunting spaces and species. They earn two more days (those in September, destined for the turtle dove) and two species that had been inexplicably banned, without any scientific support, in previous years: the turtle dove and the lark, migratory species that also have numerous enthusiasts in Sardinia. It is a first positive sign of our intention to give back to Sardinian hunters the rights that have been denied them in the past years "
