Hunting in Tuscany: Today we are talking about hunting holidays out of town, close to home but which still allow you to break the everyday routine and experience nature with greater emphasis.
It is, as often happens, Tuscany that reigns supreme, either for the sensitivity that this region possesses towards nature, or for the beautiful countryside that it has been able to protect. The hunting company we are talking about today is the La Cerbana estate, surrounded by greenery, well hidden along the provincial road that leads from Pontedera, near Pisa, towards San Giminiano, which can be reached by crossing fabulous hills to be photographed. The well-known company in the area has more than 600 hectares of land cultivated with wheat, sunflowers, but partly dedicated to grazing: the spectacle that is immediately proposed to the sight of those who reach the structure is more than welcome, especially since in the center of these well-cultivated hectares of land there is a beautiful old manor house, surrounded by more modern buildings.
In total, 16 double rooms have been designed for the customer, all equipped with essential services and three comfortable independent apartments. But when it comes to hunting and hunters, the need for comfort and services falls into the background: the really important thing is undoubtedly the hunting activity and hunting possibilities that certainly are not lacking in La Cerbana. On the other hand, in Valdera, where we are located, truly enviable naturalistic treasures are born: the hills create a well-man-made yet exquisitely natural scenario, and the green and wooded oases are the privileged hiding place of numerous wild species. For this reason, hunting days become an excellent pretext for five-star excursions, all colors and sceneries. And speaking of hunting, the reserve has a hunting season that runs from 15 September to 31 January.
The territory made available to lovers of the genre is quite large: on the web page of the hunting reserve we can read that the hunting territory extends for 380 hectares in a rather varied environment; hilly stretches alternate, rivers and streams, areas of fragrant Mediterranean scrub and there is also a refreshment corner, represented by the banks of a small and characteristic lake which needless to say is a 5-star hunting location.
Hunting in Tuscany: Among the species present in the area, the owners of the reserve list the pheasant, the gray partridge, the red partridge but also the mallard duck, the shrewd wild rabbit and of course the hare.
All hunters who book (it is also possible to do it online) will be granted special daily permits or, depending on the occasion, hunting contracts and quotas will be offered. From the 1st of February until the 30th of August the activity of the reserve does not close: it is in fact the best time to train your dogs with or without a shot depending on the preferences of the hunter.
If you choose to book in a group, in association or through your company or club, you can also take advantage of special discounts. Given the charm of the structure, the hunter often chooses to combine business with pleasure and to organize a nice hunting trip - family.
On the other hand, the services are certainly not lacking: the rooms are all tastefully furnished, comfortable and spacious and the reserve also offers a nice internal restaurant, guests of which needless to say will taste local specialties and delicious game dishes. local. A few examples: the main dishes are wild boar, lamb, duck, goose but also fresh vegetables that come directly from the property gardens. The leitmotif seems to be the familiar environment and the comforts offered to visitors: there is a swimming pool open during the summer, the possibility of organizing fun horseback rides and some prefer to try their hand at the royal sport of golf.
Finally, given the proximity to more than pretty cities (San Gimignano, Volterra, Pisa, but also Siena and Lucca just to name a few), it is not uncommon for families to prefer out-of-town excursions during hunting trips. There are even those who organize a tour to the Terme di Casciana.
In short, it seems that the possibilities for hunters and families are truly endless.
