Amendments rejected
“The amendments presented by the deputy of the Lega Bruzzone to the Agriculture decree, which were rejected, would have avoided this chaos caused by the increasingly ideological initiatives of an environmentalism that does not understand the environmental and social value of hunting”. Thus the leader of the League in the Legislative Assembly ofUmbria, Valerio Mancini, and the regional councilor Manuela Puletti, comment on the news of the "appeal presented on the hunting calendar of Umbria by environmentalist associations".
The pre-opening question
“An appeal – explain Mancini and Puletti – in which a request is made to block turtle dove hunting in the pre-opening phase and the closing date for turdids, waterfowl and woodcocks is contested. Precisely to avoid appeals to the various regional administrative courts, among other things with the risk of conflicting sentences from region to region, the League deputy, among the amendments to the Agriculture decree, had also presented the one which provides for the approval of the hunting calendars by law, and therefore, once the decisions have been taken after a broad political debate supported by scientific data, not at risk of appeals to the TAR".
Legal fees
“Appeals that have an ideological matrix – recall Mancini and Puletti – among other things presented by associations that enjoy free legal aid, and therefore with legal costs also paid by the hunters as taxpayers. To which are added the legal costs borne by the regions to defend what has been scientifically discovered and which represents a right, such as that of hunting. The Honorable Bruzzone's amendments would have been decisive in the face of these instrumental actions which lead to chaos close to the hunting season. When politics has the possibility of blocking certain environmentalist tendencies, the center-right should assert its ideas. Instead, reality shows that only the League, in fact, is close to the hunting world. This is why - they conclude - we hope, also in the interests of hunters, that the League is represented with ever greater strength in the institutions" (source: Umbria Region).
