In light of the data provided by the Veneto Region, relating to the 2019/2020 hunting season, the catastrophic forecasts and the unjustified alarmism used by almost all the managers of the other hunting associations in the Veneto are denied. We consider it appropriate to remember that it was the managers of almost all the other hunting associations in the Veneto (and not the anti-huntsmen) who asked the Regional Council to apply unjustified restrictions to the law on mobility for hunting migratory game for the 2019/2020 hunting season. We would not want the same thing to happen for the 2020/2021 hunting season.
Those who believed that the "Berlato" law would cause "hunting nomadism" and with it the invasion of hunters from one Hunting Territorial Area to another, with indescribable damage to agricultural crops and wildlife, have been denied by the facts . The Associazione Cacciatori Veneti-CONFAVI instead, having been the creator and supporter of this law, had always maintained that there would be no danger for agricultural crops and wildlife because there would be no invasion by the migratory hunters.
After a year of application of the mobility law for hunting migratory game in Veneto, we can say that we were right.
The Associazione Cacciatori Veneti-CONFAVI therefore asks the Regional Council that, for the next hunting season 2020/2021, hunters from Veneto are allowed, as required by regional law, to use a thirty-day package during the entire hunting season. 2020/2021 to be able to move between the ATCs of Veneto for hunting only migratory game, both from stalking and in wandering form, without the need for companions and without any other additional limit compared to what is provided for by regional law. We are very confident that our heartfelt appeal will be taken into due consideration by the Veneto regional council.
The President of the Association of Venetian Hunters-CONFAVI
