Hunting in derogation: The Veneto Regional Council has resumed the debate.
The Veneto Regional Council has resumed, at Palazzo Ferro-Fini in Venice, the debate on the bill to allow hunting 'by way of derogation' for certain species of birds. There are only two articles and an annex with the list of birds in question on which the oppositions have submitted 2507 amendments.
The debate, informs a regional note, therefore continues on two levels: the technical one of the amendments and the political one on the obstructive maneuver implemented.
The positions of the Northern League and the PDL are very hard, considering the presentation of thousands of practically similar amendments which have the sole purpose of lengthening the time of the debate as 'unacceptable and undemocratic'.
The oppositions, the note concludes, confirm their belief that introducing hunting in derogation with a law is illegitimate as this matter must be regulated by an administrative resolution of the Executive.
