The Campania regional section of EPS (Game Producers Authority) has made several requests regarding the next hunting calendar, the one relating to the 2022-2023 season: "Net of the Campania TAR Ordinance n.3878 / 21 on Lapwing and with the exclusion of the Pochard, among the huntable species; we asked for the possibility, after evaluating all the necessary and sufficient conditions, to take the turtle dove in pre-opening, by virtue of the approval of the national management plan of the species which would allow it to be taken in an amount equal to 50% of the total withdrawals of the last hunting seasons, subsequently implementing an adequate sampling plan, from the third Sunday of September to 30 October.
We have suggested to implement serious "Monitoring Projects" of the fauna, useful for the reports on the management plans of the species of hunting fauna interest, in order to avoid further cuts of the venable periods and of the game bags. For the wild boar species, compatibly with all the prescriptions adopted for ASF, in consideration of the particular state of emergency and the huge damage caused to agricultural crops, to protect and safeguard the rural heritage and farms in a broad sense, implement all forms of hunting allowed and not in contrast with L. 157/92 and LR 26/2012. We have suggested a more compatible sampling of the species from November 1st to January 31st.
Open a serious debate on the “Corvidi” problem. The exponential increase of these invasive species is causing serious damage both to the minor fauna and to the repopulation for wildlife purposes in the territory with planned hunting and in that of private hunting management. Specific containment plans for the species should be implemented, where never in excess. Pheasant hunting also in the Natura200 Areas (pSIC, SIC and ZPS) falling within the territory with programmed hunting and in the privately managed wildlife institutes, is not in contrast with the prescriptions of the VI Incidence Assessment. It should be postponed until January 30, 2023, according to specific sampling plans, drawn up by the ATC and by the concessionaires of privately managed hunting institutes ".
