The sentence of the TAR
On November 6, the animal rights groups presented an appeal to the Council of State against the ruling of the Regional Administrative Court of Lombardy on hunting calendar for the 2024-2025 season. Yet another chapter of a “novel” that local hunters would have gladly done without reading.

With the appeal, these associations ask as a precaution to suspend hunting throughout the Lombardy region and in any case to anticipate the closures for species such as Redwing and Fieldfare, without forgetting the Woodcock, all ducks, rails, sandpipers and waders.
What the Council of State will decide
As recalled by Marco Bruni, president of Federcaccia Lombardia, the Council of State will have to decide both on the correctness or otherwise of the ruling of the TAR Lombardia, and then again on the Hunting Calendar of the region and, again, on the request to refer the national and regional regulations on hunting to the Constitutional Court.
