After "supplementary" calendar (which gave the general terms of opening and closing in the individual ATC and CAC) and the "decree of VIncA" (which established the hunting calendar in the SIC and in the SPAs) the "reductive" calendar, or the provision with which Region takes a definitive position on the critical issues (and requests) of ISPRA not already assessed in the first approved document. We appreciate the great effort made by the Region which has paid great attention to accurately justify the calendar provisions not aligned with the opinion of ISPRA, from which it departed. The general opening was therefore confirmed on 19 September for all species, with the exception of the lark (which will open on 2 October), although ISPRA favored the postponed opening in October for the sedentary and not only. Obviously the hunt for the typical alpine fauna will open as usual in October.
With regard to the closures, outside the SIC and the SPAs, hunting in the ATCs will close on January 31st also for aquatic animals, and not on January 20th. And this is also the case for Sassello and Cesena, for which ISPRA would like an early closure. With particular reference to Cesena, the Lombardy Region has also explicitly used the study funded by Federcaccia Lombardy to motivate the opening until January 31st. On the other hand, the withdrawal of Pochard (for which we trust that the Lombardy Region will equip itself with an autonomous management plan for 2022) and the Fighter. Game bag reductions for Tortora (5 daily animals / 10 seasonal animals), for the Skylark (10 g / 50 s; period 2 October - 31 December), for the Moretta (3 g / 20 s), for the Lapwing (2 g / 10 s), for the Quail (3 days / 20 seconds with closing on November 15th).
For the calendar in the SIC and ZPS (Natura 2000 Network) you can find specific information in the vademecum that is published together with "Reductive calendar". On the other hand, at the end of September it will be decided whether and how the supplementary days from fixed posting will be granted in the months of October and November. We are confident that we can make a peaceful opening (even if it rains), but let's not hide: the appeals of the usual suspects are around the corner and perhaps they were just waiting for the publication of this provision to act. In the event of an appeal, we will find out if the publication so close to the opening will secure the opening itself and the continuation of the hunt until 30 September. What is certain is that Hunting Federation will participate in any animal rights appeal to defend the calendar.
