As already expressed by individual components of the hunting world, even jointly we can only reiterate the firm opposition to the approval procedure in progress, which sees the proposal for a hunting wildlife plan to be accompanied by one Incidence Study steeped in anti-hunting ideology. The approach given to the discussion of essential parts of the Plan proposal it is clearly aimed at the objective, through time steps ranging between 2 and 8 years from the approval of the plan (and with immediate effects on various areas), of making hunting migratory game impracticable, especially from a fixed position.
And with heavy repercussions also on hunting for sedentary game, also with reference to the selection hunting of ungulates especially in Alps area, if the measures to be implemented in the Territorial Wildlife Plans are implemented. Furthermore, the parallel advancement of the Vinca procedure by DG Environment on the one hand and the procedure for collecting and examining the observations of stakeholders (such as the undersigned associations) by the DG Agriculture, risks making the comments that will be presented useless. And the shortening of the deadlines for submitting observations (from 60 to 45 days) makes the task not only of detecting critical issues but above all of technically opposing them even more burdensome, given the amount of documents being discussed.
Without prejudice, therefore, to the work that each association is carrying out both in the preparation of the observations and in the pressure on the political world (and thanks to the many Regional Councilors who have already taken an active interest), the Lombard hunting associations united, they insist that the right weight be given to the social, historical and traditional value of the hunting activity, which still sees a large number of enthusiasts in Lombardy: the Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan it must be a planning tool that must take into account both the conservation and improvement of wildlife and the social, managerial and economic value of the hunting activity.
It is not acceptable that the Lombard planning, for the part given moreover to Entities directly connected to the Region that have dealt with the Incidence Study, is instead aimed at the progressive closure of the hunt making it virtually impracticable. And yet it emerges from many sides, even from the proposed plan, that the problems of fauna are largely linked to habitat loss, and not to hunting. Even more unacceptable if the problems arise from a political part that historically in Lombardy is proposed as inclusive of the economic, social and environmental value and importance of hunting. And that hunting is immolated on the altar of a facade environmentalism (or rather animalism) does not suit us and we will go all the way (Lombard Hunters Association-ANUUMigrators-National Association Free Hunting-Hunting Fishing Environment-Federcaccia-Enalcaccia-Italcaccia-Arci Caccia).
