The Regional Council approved today, on the proposal of the Regional Councilor for Parks and Protected Areas William Casoni, the changes relating to the guidelines that all Park Authorities must comply with in order to issue private individuals with authorization for the introduction of weapons and explosives in the protected areas of the Piedmont Region in particular for hunters who must cross the protected area to go to hunting areas adjacent to the park areas.
Thanks to the changes, private entities can directly submit applications for authorization requests to the territorial hunting areas (ATC) and Alpine districts (CA). Furthermore, the validity of the authorization to transit in a protected area is equivalent to that of the authorization to carry firearms and therefore the expiry of the two authorizations coincides.
Finally, hunting guards are facilitated, even those dependent on ATC and CA, as they are exempted from the request for authorization in the event that they have to introduce weapons in the protected area for reasons of service. "Through these changes we have tried to meet the requests received from hunting bodies and associations - underlines the regional councilor for Parks and protected areas, William Casoni - by simplifying bureaucratic procedures and speeding up the issuing of authorizations, also taking into account the applications presented. by the Park Authorities and the national legislation in force ".
