With a PEC of last June 6 - prior to the discussion and approval of the provision - Federcaccia sent the President of the Regional Council and the President of the Regional Council of the Piedmont Region, the President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister for the Environment and Protection of the Territory e del Mare and to the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, a substantial legal technical document in which the numerous unconstitutionality aspects of the Regional Law 1.12.2015 n. 182 "Protection of fauna and wildlife-hunting management". On that occasion Federcaccia expressed the hope that the Regional Council of Piedmont would modify the bill in question to bring it back to respect the constitutional principles and formally invited the Government to supervise the work of the Regional Council itself in a matter which is exclusive to the legislative competence of the State.
After the approval, substantially unchanged, of the Ddl, the commitment of the Federation did not cease, which through the president of Federcaccia Piemonte Bruno Morena continued its work of raising awareness among government representatives, in particular the Minister of Agriculture Centinaio and the Minister Stefani. It was with the latter that President Morena met on Friday last week, handing her in person a further study on the text of the law and receiving reassurance of his interest in the matter. But we also remember the appeal presented by the lawyer. Campanile, president of Federcaccia Liguria on behalf of the Coordination of Ligurian hunting associations.
We can only express our appreciation and thanks for the evident and concrete attention that was paid to our arguments and which led to the decision to challenge law no. 5 of 19 June 2018, underlining how the choice to proceed along the path of confrontation supported by technical and legal arguments is the one that leads to the best results in seeing one's reasons recognized.
