Aosta Valley hunters waiting for the new plan for the allocation of wild boar hunting areas.
There is expectation in the Valle d'Aosta hunting world for the plans containing the subdivision of the various boar hunting areas to be assigned to the hunting teams as established by the Hunting Calendar. In particular, the subdivision of the territory outlined by the Region provides for ten hunting areas according to the most suitable criterion for the correct management of the ungulate population.

The president of the Regional Hunting Committee, Alessandro Durand, assured, “The plan is being drafted. The objective aims to define the hunting activity by district, subordinating the size of the surfaces to the number of teams and the quantity of animals to be collected ".
Continuing Durand explained “The two teams that will have three districts will have to divide the assigned hunting area into two parts. The improvement of the control hunting of these ungulates materialized together with the agents of the Forestry Corps ”.
Speaking on the matter, the president of Enalcaccia, Santo Diano, stated that “it is not possible to hypothesize an equation between a favorable territory or not. I believe that the region has already made an effort to fulfill our requests. There are no positive or negative hunting areas in relation to the quantity of wild boars. If, then, the wild population corresponds to the expectations of hunters, the 2012 hunting season will be optimal both from a qualitative and a quantitative point of view.
