The fifteenth edition of "Hunt in the Kitchen", the Lombard week dedicated to hunting gastronomy, it started in the best way. More than 200 people attended the inaugural dinner which was held last year 20 February in Milan, to be precise at the "Society of the Garden". The event featured a truly sumptuous menu, all preceded by a rich buffet based on typical cheeses and cold cuts of the Lombard lands, in addition to pate and marbrè of game.
The chefs have prepared excellent dishes in which the mallard and the wild boar were the undisputed protagonists, thanks to the tasty and refined preparation in combination with lasagnette and Bergamo polenta. To top it all, they thought of excellent red and sparkling wines. The ASCOM of Bergamo has organized a very interesting program that will last until the next 20 March and that will serve to enhance the food linked to local traditions.
The fact that the audience is not only made up of hunters testifies perfectly how game on the table is increasingly appreciated. The official closing lunch of "Caccia in Cucina" took place on March 5 at the “Aquila d'Oro” restaurant in Brescia thanks to the local organization of the provincial ANUUMigratorists. The tradition was also worthily celebrated in Veneto, more precisely in the province of Padua with a dinner based on risotto with thrushes and teals.
