From next October 1st it will be possible to carry out the hunting activity both in Tuscany than in the Regions Lazio and Umbria through hunting mobility on the basis of reciprocity agreements. Given the importance of this opportunity it concerns thousands of Tuscan hunters and from other regions, the Confederation of Tuscan Hunters has found it useful to prepare a small summary guide to clarify the main doubts and questions of hunters, thus facilitating remote booking operations for Tuscan hunters who intend to hunt in the regions indicated above. Here are some of the more interesting questions to which the CCT responded.
1- How many ATCs can Tuscan hunters register? And at what cost?
In Tuscany they are made up 15 Territorial Areas of Hunting (ATC). It is also possible to register for all the ATCs in Tuscany, subject to the acceptance of the registration applications by each ATC. The 1st ATC of registration is defined as “hunting residence”, all the others are “further ATCs”. The registration fee is determined each year by the management committees of each ATC. For the 2018-2019 season the fixed amount is equal to Euro 100 for the ATC of Residenza Venatoria and Euro 50 for the registration of any further ATC. New entry applications must be submitted to the ATCs in March. If accepted, you will receive the postal or bank MAV bulletin (for some ATCs it must be downloaded online) to be paid by May 15th. However, many ATCs welcome entry applications too after March.
2- How are the 20 days of mobility used?
All Tuscan hunters, regardless of the number of ATCs they are enrolled in, are entitled at no cost at regional level to 20 days of mobility for hunting migratory wildlife from stalking or hunting wild boar to be used in any Tuscan ATC from 1st October to 31st January. For the 20 days of mobility there is no need for remote booking: on the hunting card, in addition to the page of the day, it is sufficient to fill in the special yellow mobility page indicating the day and the ATC.
3- How can I hunt woodcock on the move? It is not possible to hunt woodcock on the move with the 20 days but only by purchasing the 5-day package (or by registering with the relevant ATC / s). Remember that each head of woodcock, such as sedentary game and all migratory game, must be marked on the hunting card immediately after the killing is ascertained.
4- What is the mobility of those who hunt exclusively from a fixed position (option B)?
Option holders B are registered only in the ATC of hunting residence, whose share is reduced by 50%, and can hunt in fixed position freely in all ATCs in Tuscany. In addition, from 1 October they have 10 days of hunting for migratory wildlife from temporary stalking they do not require remote booking but they must be marked on the hunting card on the yellow mobility page.
5- What is the mobility of those who exclusively hunt ungulates (option D)?
It has 20 days without tele-booking (see point 2) to be used only for the hunted wild boar hunt.
