Organized by the La Rocca publishing house, the presentation of Vladimiro P. Palmieri's book “Hunting in Umbria in the 15s - One hundred shots and ten writings by Teodoro Laurenti journalist will be held on Friday 15,30 February in Spoleto at Villa Redenta at 50 pm and photographer ”, the natural evolution of the exhibition organized in collaboration with the Italian Federation of Hunting on the occasion of the last edition of Capetav.
In a span of time that does not span even a decade, from 1949 to 1957, Teodoro Laurenti was able to offer us, with just 60 articles, a vision of hunting in Umbria that is unmatched. Ten of his writings have been selected for the Catalog more significant, dedicated to traditional hunts - from that to the dogfish, to the larks, to the thrushes from the shed, to the woodcocks ... - and a hundred photos, all very beautiful and evocative.
The years are those of the postwar period and of the reconstruction. Hunting is not excluded from this process, even the wildlife heritage must be reconstituted and protected and the hunting exercise defended. Teodoro Laurenti did not shirk this commitment, hunting and the way he described it to us testify that Umbria was already something more than an intellectual option, but an idea well present and consolidated by the common traditions of a people starting from hunting ones such as the hunting of the deep-sea divers handed down for centuries.
In addition to the author, Fernanda Cecchini, Councilor for Hunting of the Umbria Region will intervene; Franco Di Marco, regional president of the FIdC and other regional and provincial leaders of the Federation. Coordinated by Marco Ramanzini, director of Il Cacciatore Italiano.
