HUNTING IN THE AOSTA VALLEY:
Rifles, shotguns and shotguns ready to fire from 6 September.
The Regional Council approved on Friday 3 July, the hunting calendar for the 2009/2010 season proposed by the councilor for agriculture and natural resources, Joseph Isabellon.
For this year there are several new features compared to last season: first of all, the wild boar hunting will start on September 6, secondly, the chamois picking classes have been simplified to make the implementation of the picking plan more correct.
The other two novelties are the transfer of ungulates to the specially established Control Centers and the slight variation of the boundaries of some sampling units of the cervo, the chamois and roe.
Hunting for chamois and roe deer, therefore together with that at wild boar looking, they will open the hunting season on 6 September and it will be possible to hunt them until 12 November.
From 20 September to 18 November it will be possible to hunt the European hare, the hunting fox, the cesena, the wood pigeon, the gray and black crow, the blackbird, the jay, the song and stone thrush, the turtledove and the quail.
From 1st October until 30th November, unless the felling ceiling is reached, it will be the turn of woodcock, rock ptarmigan and rock partridge, while starting from the same date, but until November 12, it will be possible to hunt the variable hare.
